As in-plants continue to reel from the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, with some of them temporarily closed and others too busy to keep up, it’s become essential to look to outside print providers for help. One of the largest on-demand printers in the country, Mimeo, has been successfully supporting in-plants and other clients with content production and distribution even during these challenging times.
Due to the pandemic, one of Mimeo's largest customers in the financial services space needed to shut down eight of its 12 internal print centers, leaving only four open for confidential internal-only documents.
“Working closely with the client’s in-plant production team, we were able to create a solution that allowed them to keep servicing stakeholder needs with documents, marketing materials and more,” notes Cecilia Panozzo, senior VP of marketing.
Mimeo also came to the aid of Intercept Pharmaceuticals, which had planned to roll out a cross-training launch for its team to help patients living with various chronic medical conditions. When New York state mandated that non-essential workers must stay home, Mimeo printed and shipped those training manuals. The training team uploaded their files and built the documents with the MimeoPrint platform while working from home. Mimeo printed them and shipped them to 130 recipients. (Full story here.)
As a pioneer of online printing and overnight delivery of complex documents, Mimeo offers a portal where customers can upload files in any format and then use online tools to select and view an online proof then pick different binding and finishing options. There are no minimums, and jobs ordered by 10 p.m. EST are delivered as soon as the next morning, in generic, unbranded shipping boxes. Mimeo's North American production facility is located in Memphis, Tenn., very close to the FedEx North America transport hub.
“With weekly status meetings, proof reviews when needed, and constant communication, Mimeo continues to be a trusted partner to the entire internal print organization,” says Panozzo.
