Océ Event in New York a Hit
IPG Editor Bob Neubauer travelled to New York City on Wednesday to attend the Océ VIP Event, one of a series of events the company has been holding around the country. About 35 in-plant managers showed up to learn more about Océ’s “green” initiatives and to see some of its new equipment in action. This included the award-winning VarioPrint 6250, which prints on both sides of a page at the same time, and the CS650 color printer.
As part of the event, former in-plant manager Vic Barkin gave a presentation titled “Green business is good business.” He encouraged in-plants to lower their VOC levels and carbon emissions, reduce waste, and publish a “green position statement” to let their management know what they are doing.
After the event, Océ took managers to Yankee Stadium to see the Yankees take on the Detroit Tigers. (NY lost, 6-2)
For other in-plants interested in attending a VIP Event, there are two more on the schedule:
• Boca Raton: June 25
• Atlanta: September 18
• Alexandria, VA: September 25
