The announcements include additions to the Océ JetStream family of very high speed ink-jet printers and the introduction of the Océ ColorStream 9000 series. Océ previously announced a fifth color station option for the ColorStream family at the Hunkeler Innovation Days last month in Luzern, Switzerland.

The new color innovations were introduced at the Océ Home of Color Event near Munich, Germany, being held throughout the week and attended by hundreds of customers, industry analysts and journalists from Europe, Asia and the United States.

Océ JetStream and Océ ColorStream
With ink-jet printing on a 30" wide web at a speed of 130 meters per minute, the new Océ JetStream2800 system will support the accelerating market transition from offset to digital. The Océ JetStream 2800 system expands the family’s range of applications to newspaper and book printing.
The 29.5" actual print width of the Océ JetStream 2800 system is the widest in its productivity class. The new system delivers the highest productivity in its class with 2,632 A4 size or 2,792 letter size images per minute at 600x600 dpi. It incorporates a growth path from monochrome up to full color enabling cost efficient print production of newspapers, books, direct mail and other jobs.
The simplex Océ JetStream 500 and duplex Océ JetStream 1000 engines are compact and flexible full color ink-jet web presses for transaction, direct mail and transpromo applications. The Océ JetStream 500 model prints approximately 505 A4 (535 letter) ipm at 600x600 dpi, while the duplex Océ JetStream 1000 delivers up to 1,010 A4 (1,070 letter) ipm.
The toner-based continuous feed Océ ColorStream 9000 systems offer maximum flexibility and productivity for transaction, transpromo and direct mail applications that are critical communications for a variety of industries. Customers can upgrade to even higher print quality with the Océ ColorStream 10000 model when their business requires it
The 168 A4 ipm Océ ColorStream systems can power through over 5 million full-color, A4-size images a month. With the introduction of the 5th color station to the Océ ColorStream 9000 family customers can also use one additional spot color next to full-color. With dynamic pricing, Océ ColorStream systems print color at its appropriate cost and monochrome output at black and white speeds and costs.
