New Four-color Press at BCC In-plant
Yesterday, IPG Editor Bob Neubauer traveled to Pemberton, N.J., to visit the in-plant at Burlington County College. In March, the six-employee in-plant added a new four-color Ryobi 524GE offset press. Though the shop already had a pair of two-color presses and used them to produce lots of four-color work, Manager Steve Amitrano had wanted a four-color press for a long time.
Getting it into his in-plant proved a challenge. A large section of the shop's wall had to be torn down to allow the one-piece press to be moved in.
Amitrano and his staff researched digital printers like the Xerox iGen4, as well as digital offset presses from Presstek, but in the end, a four-color sheetfed press made the most sense for his operation. Find out why when we publish the full story in an upcoming issue of IPG, accompanied by a video at www.InPlantGraphics.com.
