Move Beyond Lean

If streamlining your workflow and reducing waste are important to you, be sure to tune in to a special webinar on Tuesday devoted to helping printers remove the constraints that are impacting their throughput and profits. Entitled "Moving Beyond Lean to Global Optimization," the webinar will walk you through the Theory of Global Optimization (TGO), a method of managing print manufacturing and business processes that maximizes profits.

Moderated by IPG Editor Bob Neubauer, the webinar will take place Tuesday August 12, at 2 p.m. ET. It will feature Udi Arieli, Senior Director of Product Management, PrintFlow and Digital Workflows at EFI. James Pilcher, VP of Manufacturing and General Manager of Freeport Press will describe how TGO has benefited his printing company.

Only a few constraints control the throughput, on-time delivery and cost of your entire printing operation. If you identify and remove the constraints, you will increase throughput and profits. Arieli will explain how you can do this and also discuss how some of the “myths” of printing may be negatively impacting your business. (e.g., "The customer comes first." Think again. Adjustments to accommodate one customer will almost always impact others, as well as your overall profit performance.)
