Michigan Farm Bureau Printing Services uses a print management system and Web-to-print to streamline its in-plant

Karen Meyers, business manager at Michigan Farm Bureau Printing Services, knows how important it is to market the in-plant’s services to its internal and external clients. Last year, the shop participated in the In-Plant Printing and Mailing Association’s (IPMA) In-plant Awareness Week. Printing Services sent marketing materials to all upper-level management, posted fliers throughout the building and sent information to all of the company’s insurance agents and to local government agencies. Meyers says this effort helped generate business from new clients. She plans on doing it again in 2013.

Also, the company has an annual expo for all of its insurance agents. The in-plant has a booth at the expo and displays banners, provides information, shows off printed materials and gives out discount cards.

For Karen Meyers, business manager at Michigan Farm Bureau's Printing Services operation in Lansing, Mich., knowledge is power.

To keep her in-plant running efficiently and effectively, Meyers depends on Avanti's Graphic Arts Management System. Specifically, Printing Services utilizes Avanti's estimating, order entry, inventory management and reporting modules, as well as Avanti's eAccess Web-to-print software.
