10) Invest in software and hardware, and train employees.
The software and hardware (and possibly training) needed to get started would cost between $500 and $6,000 during the first year. Recurring costs are maybe $100 to $1,000 for upgrades and new color targets. Also, be sure to stay educated about color management. Although there is no single source for everything that is required to implement a color-managed workflow, the International Color Consortium (www.color.org) is a good place to start. IPG
