Dr. Mark Bohan, director of Color Solutions at Konica Minolta Business Solutions, will receive an Outstanding Contributor Award from the In-plant Printing and Mailing Association (IPMA) during IPMA’s 2024 Educational Conference and Vendor Fair, June 2-6, in Des Moines, Iowa.
“The IPMA Board of Directors would like to thank Mark for his contributions as a vendor partner and friend. Through Konica Minolta, he has supported IPMA’s mission of supporting our members with industry insights and technology,” said Christopher Donlon, IPMA International President.
Bohan joins Richard Beto, of The University of Texas at Austin, in being honored with a 2024 Outstanding Contributor Award.
“It is an honor to be selected for this award and it means so much coming from IPMA,” said Dr. Bohan. “They are one of the most collaborative and supportive groups that I have known. Everything they do is focused on doing the right thing for their members. The group is so very inclusive and welcoming, with members continually learning and sharing how to improve their operations along with providing assistance to other in-plants.”
Dr. Bohan is an expert on the application of all print technologies, their business impact, and the optimization of production workflow and print operations. Working with many processes and new technologies, he has carried out extensive research, technical and business assessments for users and manufacturers as to their impact on business operations.
In his current role, he is responsible for production and industrial software print solutions for Konica Minolta Business Solutions, works with R&D on hardware and software product development and is a Idealliance G7 trainer. He serves on multiple boards and committees while also participating in standards worldwide.
Mark got his degree and PhD from University of Wales Swansea, where he went on to be an active print researcher while launching undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs. He since worked for PIA in multiple positions, including overseeing the in-plant operations, and Heidelberg.
