On Monday March 18, the winners of the In-Print™ 2024 contest were selected by a panel of judges. After examining all 386 entries in the only printing contest exclusively for in-plants, judges picked 74 Gold, Silver and Bronze winners from 32 different in-plants.
The top winners this year were:
- University of Oklahoma, with 10 total awards, including two Golds.
- University of Texas at Austin, with six awards, including two Golds.
- Iowa State University, with four awards, including two Golds.
- Kilgore College, with four awards, in its first time entering the contest.
A number of in-plants won three awards: The Church of Scientology International, University of Virginia, Bloomberg, Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield, Messiah College, and Bucknell University.
Judging took place at In-plant Printing and Mailing Association (IPMA) headquarters, in Kearney, Missouri. This year’s contest featured eight new categories, bringing the total up to 36. Six categories were open only to in-plants with 10 or fewer employees.
The alternating team of judges this year included:
- Ben Fowler, Shelter Insurance
- Kristen Hampton, State of Michigan
- Christopher Donlon, Kohler Co.
- Mike Barnes, Hunter Manufacturing
- Theresa Hatcher, IPMA
- Larry Clements, Redlands Community College, retired

After selecting the winners, the judges then picked two Best of Show winners from all Gold-winning pieces: one for offset entries and one for non-offset. Those grand prize winners will be revealed at the IPMA 2024 conference in Des Moines, Iowa, in June.
