Setting up a press to print a box of envelopes takes a lot of time, says Jimmy Robinson, director of Printing Services at the University of West Alabama—time that in-plants just can't afford to spend. So a few years ago he found a solution. His shop added a Xanté Impressia digital envelope press.
"With the Xanté, you can print a box of envelopes in eight to 10 minutes," proclaims Robinson in a video from Xanté. The video shows off Robinson's Livingston, Alabama, in-plant and includes interviews with both him and his operator, Tommy Hutchins.
"The Xante [Impressia] envelope press was the best decision I've ever made as a manager in printing, because of the efficiency of the machine and the ability to print and then walk away and do something else," says Robinson in the video.
UWA Printing Services prints 95 percent of the university's work, which includes direct mail, books, catalogs, envelopes and recruiting brochures.
