It was a busy four days for this editor, trying to cover Drupa’s 19 exhibit halls and still attend the numerous press conferences.

As predicted, high-speed ink-jet was a major theme of the show. Xerox demonstrated a new waterless cured gel ink, and companies like Océ, Kodak, Screen and HP showed new high-speed, high-quality ink-jet machines, some available only as “technology demos” for now. The output was impressive, though, and portends a future shift from offset and toner to ink-jet.

Bob has served as editor of In-plant Impressions since October of 1994. Prior to that he served for three years as managing editor of Printing Impressions, a commercial printing publication. Mr. Neubauer is very active in the U.S. in-plant industry. He attends all the major in-plant conferences and has visited more than 180 in-plant operations around the world.
