Starting on Sunday, PRINT 17 will take over Chicago. For the hundreds of in-plants planning to be there, the In-plant Printing and Mailing Association has several free sessions and gatherings planned. What's more, in-plant managers looking for camaraderie are always welcome to stop by the “In-plant Gathering Place” at IPMA’s booth (#1272).
Here's what's on the agenda:
Sunday, Sept. 10, 2:00 p.m.
Learning Experience Show Floor Theatre (Booth 3861)
“The Future of the In-plant”
Though Hurricane Irma will prevent him from attending PRINT 17 as planned, Greg Cholmondeley, president of Cholmonco, Inc., will still be there in spirit. The findings of the IPMA study he conducted on the future of in-plants, which was sponsored by Canon, will be presented by John Sarantakos, director of the University of Oklahoma's in-plant. This study incorporates interviews with in-plant managers and their managers, and a survey of in-plants across the country. It is an opportunity to compare your plans with the industry’s answers to questions on two key subjects: How your in-plant will change in five years, and what you’re doing to drive that change. This is powerful knowledge that every in-plant manager can use to tune, or create, a strategic five-year plan to strengthen their operations. All attendees will receive a copy of the report.
Monday, Sept. 11, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Room S105A
IPMA Luncheon: “Futurescape: The In-plant of Tomorrow”
A panel of in-plant managers will discuss what the future holds for in-plants, and how they are preparing to meet the needs of tomorrow. Sponsored by Canon, Ricoh, Rochester Software Associates and Xerox, the luncheon is free for in-plant personnel. However, space is limited, so pre-registration is required.
Monday, Sept. 11, 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
IPMA Booth #1272
IPMA Happy Hour Reception
After a long day walking the show floor, attending classes and checking out the latest and greatest equipment, please stop by and relax at the IPMA booth with a beer or glass of wine. Meet and talk with our Konica Minolta sponsors, along with your in-plant peers. This is an in-plant-only event, so make sure you tell your fellow managers.
Here are some additional PRINT 17 sessions geared toward in-plants.
