In a session focused on getting employees more engaged in their work lives, Monique Moynihan and Mike Lincoln from the State of Colorado’s Integrated Document Solutions operation talked about the “Four Disciplines of Execution” and how implementing this process has improved quality, organization and interpersonal relationships at their operation.
The in-plant developed a training based on the book “Four Disciplines of Execution” by Chris McChesney and Sean Covey. Employees were given the ability to choose their team goals, thus empowering them to make changes to their work environments. By doing this, they took ownership. As a result, quality improved dramatically, work areas got more organized, procedure were updated and the interpersonal relationships that formed created a new environment of communication and much higher morale amongst all the staff.
