In-plant managers around the country are already packing their bags for next week's In-plant Printing and Mailing Association (IPMA) conference, the largest in-plant event of the year. Activities start as early as Saturday June 10, for those who get to Pittsburgh early, but things will really get underway on Sunday evening at the opening reception.
More than 150 managers are expected this year, from as far away as Australia. This will be the first conference organized by Executive Director Mike Loyd, who spent many years managing the in-plant at Louisiana State University.
The conference will include a bustling vendor display area, with more than 50 vendors participating; an award ceremony, in which the winners of the In-Print Best of Show awards will be revealed; a riverboat cruise; and endless networking. In addition, educational sessions will cover key issues of importance to in-plants. View the agenda here.
Back for the second year in a row is opening keynote speaker Steve Gilliland, whose entertaining stories were a hit at the 2016 conference. His presentation this year promises to show attendees how to open doors to success in their careers, their relationships and their lives.
Other featured speakers include:
- Peter Muir, president of Bizucate, an educator, consultant, marketer, maker and motivator known for helping individuals and organizations find profitable opportunities through more effective communications.
- Howie Fenton, of Integrated Methods Group, a noted consultant and thought leader in the printing and digital communication industry, and author of five books and hundreds of articles and blogs.
- Barb Pellow, of Keypoint Intelligence, who has many years of experience helping companies develop multi-media strategies and build strategic marketing plans.
- Jim Rowell, CEO and co-founder of Rising Sun Consultants, who spent more than 25 years in the corporate world as a professional trainer, supervisor and director, will discuss leadership fitness.
