The world’s largest gathering of in-plant managers will kick off on Sunday evening, June 4, in Bonita Springs, Florida, when more than 150 managers gather for the opening reception of the In-plant Printing and Mailing Association conference.
With the theme “Beyond All Limits” the conference will feature more than 30 educational sessions and keynote presentations, along with a number of roundtable discussions on topics of importance to in-plants. Several vendors will also hold users group meetings on Sunday.
The conference will include a two-day vendor fair featuring nearly 50 exhibits from a variety of equipment and software vendors, providing attendees with ample time to learn about new technologies specific to in-plant operations. On Tuesday evening, an awards banquet will honor winners of IPMA Awards and the In-Print 2023 awards. The ceremony will culminate with the announcement of the Best of Show winners, whose identities will be revealed in a pair of videos showing the judges picking the winners.
IPI Editor Bob Neubauer will start things off Monday morning with a presentation in which he will provide a status report on the in-plant industry, incorporating new data from an IPI survey on equipment investment trends at in-plants. Then IPMA favorite Steve Gilliland, who last presented at IPMA 2017 in Pittsburgh, will bring his unique storytelling style to the IPMA stage, as he talks about how to develop and deliver value in everything you do.
The Tuesday keynote will be given by Chuck Gallagher who will emphasize the message that every choice has a consequence. He’ll illustrate this with examples of his own unethical decisions and the consequences that followed. The audience will come to realize the impact of the choices they make, and gain an understanding of how to use ethics and integrity to create success on a personal and professional level.
Other sessions will cover workflow automation, the promo products opportunity, AI in print, production inkjet, wide-format, Web-to-print, mailing, and more. This year will mark the return of the always entertaining Workflow Family Feud, hosted by RSA’s Elisha Kasinskas. One of the closing sessions will feature Hugh Halpern, director of the U.S. Government Publishing Office.
Bob has served as editor of In-plant Impressions since October of 1994. Prior to that he served for three years as managing editor of Printing Impressions, a commercial printing publication.
