David Brown of the Louisiana Workers' Compensation Corp., recommended that in-plants arrange a backup plan in case of a flood or fire. Options include a dedicated recovery site, ready and waiting in case you need to send work; an excess capacity arrangement with a printer, where your work will be done when time is available; or a reciprocal agreement with another printer, where you agree to back each other up. Be sure to consider location, technology, climate control at the plant and security.
