In recent months, IPG has learned of three different in-plants that have moved into new facilities. This is always great news because it means their organizations value them highly enough to support their relocations. It also means the in-plants can plan the equipment layout in their new plants for increased efficiency and productivity.
In the past couple of months:
- Indiana University Document Services, overseen by Director Joe Goss, moved into a newly remodeled, climate controlled 15,000-square-foot facility.
- Ball State University Printing Services relocated from a 3,200-square-foot space to a 4,200 square-foot facility, with access to a loading dock.
- University of Alabama-Birmingham Printing & Mailing Services just finished moving from a 30,000-square-foot facility to a smaller 19,000-square-foot plant, transporting an impressive arsenal of equipment, including a six-color Heidelberg press and a Xerox iGen4, across town to its new location.
Read about these moves in upcoming issues of In-plant Graphics.
