Salt Lake City will host two separate in-plant events next week, and IPG's Bob Neubauer will be at both of them.
First, Intermountain Healthcare's Design & Print Center will host the In-plant Printing and Mailing Association's local chapter meeting in its facility on Thursday Nov. 10. After a brief presentation by Neubauer, visitors will embark on a tour of Intermountain's Supply Chain Center and Fulfillment Center. This will include the Design & Print Center, which boasts a pair of Ricoh Pro C751 production color printers, as well as two Kodak Digimaster EX300s.
Then on Friday Nov. 11, the second IPMA Road Show event will take place at Deseret Mutual Benefit Administrators' in-plant. Visiting in-plants will get a look inside DMBA's Central Services department, which features an HP Indigo 7000 digital color press. The in-plant recently upgraded to the SpencerMetrics CONNECT system, so attendees will learn how it lets the shop analyze actual job cost data, enabling more accurate pricing and scheduling decisions. As noted in a recent IPG story, Central Services also handles the scanning of all incoming mail. Visitors will get to see this process as well. Register here for this event.
