In February, a dozen members of the In-Plant Printing & Mailing Association's Harrisburg chapter got together for a lunch meeting. IPG Editor Bob Neubauer joined them, and talked with managers from The Hershey Co., Messiah College, Wellspan Health and the Pennsylvania School Boards Association.
Following the meeting, the group traveled to Hershey's in-plant for a tour. Electronic Pre Press Manager George Kaufman and Bob Wamsher, manager of Printing Services, showed off the operation's five-color Shinohara press, its digital printing area and its collection of wide-format inkjet printers, including a Roland Soljet Pro II solvent inkjet printer. To handle the growing demand for wide-format work, the shop also has two brand new printers awaiting setup: an HP Designjet latex printer and an EFI flatbed printer.
