The second annual Inkjet Summit will be held at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, April 7-9, 2014. It will feature expanded coverage of market segments and an increased number of qualified attendees. The Inkjet Summit is an invitation-only, hosted event specifically designed for senior managers and business executives at printing companies and corporate enterprises who are looking to develop strategies, understand their options and make major investment decisions around production inkjet digital printing technology.
"The (2013) Inkjet Summit provided much needed insight into the current state of inkjet technology and the opportunity to talk to ‘real’ users first hand," said John Lacagnina, CEO of SoftPrint, after attending last year’s event. "The good, the bad and the ugly about inkjet were all there; just what is needed to make informed decisions."
Mary Ann Rowan, CMO and vice president at Solimar Systems, also commented: "What an excellent first year (2013) event! We found the Inkjet Summit to be an intimate, boutique conference that brings like-minded industry professionals together without the distractions, masses and ‘noise’ of a traditional trade show. The Summit is a well-organized, focused event that fosters face-to-face interactions, business relationships and networking in a very efficient and personal manner. Solimar is proud to upgrade to a Gold Sponsor for 2014."
Attendees at the 2014 Inkjet Summit will meet and learn from some of the leading experts in the production inkjet space through a conference program led by Marco Boer, vice president at IT Strategies, and a team of key advisory board members and speakers. Advisory Board members include:
- Marco Boer, Vice President, IT Strategies (Conference Chair)
- Jim Hamilton, Group Director, InfoTrends
- Elizabeth Gooding, President, Gooding Communications Group
- Skip Henk, EDP, President and CEO, Xplor International
- Noel Ward, Managing Director, Brimstone Hill Associates
- Mary Schilling, Owner, Schilling Inkjet Consulting
- Mark Michelson, Editor-in-Chief, Printing Impressions
- Charles Pesko, Strategic Advisor, nGage Events
While users are looking for information and guidance, suppliers are looking for ways to identify and develop relationships with these potential buyers specifically interested in production inkjet digital printing solutions. The Inkjet Summit is designed to meet both of these needs for attendees and sponsors.
Printing company and corporate enterprise executives who attend have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with, and listen to focused case studies from, leading inkjet solution suppliers. They also learn from top industry experts and their peers through keynote sessions and workshops, real-life end user panels, and print market segment-focused breakout sessions. They also build long-lasting relationships through numerous networking receptions and meals, optional golf and other fun activities.
Another attendee from the 2013 Inkjet Summit, John McGrath, print technology coordinator, Veritas Document Solutions, a Consolidated Graphics company, commented, “The event was extremely informative whether you were an asset owner or potential inkjet purchaser. The environment allowed for great sharing of ideas among peers and the one-on-one’s with suppliers really helped expand my knowledge of the products available in the market. Attending the Inkjet Summit is invaluable to anyone in the print industry.”
The response from users, past sponsors and new sponsors has been overwhelming heading into the 2014 Inkjet Summit. The April event will bring together a focused group of attendees, as well as sponsors that represent all aspects of inkjet solutions, including engines, workflow and software, feeding and finishing, mailing, paper, inks and supplies. Sponsorship opportunities are still available, but will most likely be sold out in early 2014.
"Our goal is to once again bring together suppliers and qualified attendees who are investigating and intend to purchase inkjet solutions, into an environment facilitated by experts," relayed Philip McKay, president at nGage Events. "Attendees will learn from experts, leading suppliers and, most importantly, their peers on how to approach inkjet and how to be successful. Our 2013 event format accomplished this and 2014 will again truly be a win-win for both sponsors and attendees."
