It’s no secret that inkjet will be one of the prevalent technologies in the production printing industry. According to I.T. Strategies research, worldwide the number of printed continuous-feed production inkjet pages grew at 73% CAGR from 2008 until 2016. Inkjet technology is projected to account for 60% of all digital pages printed by 2019.

But why inkjet? Marco Boer, VP of I.T. Strategies, bottom-lined it for attendees during his opening keynote at Inkjet Summit 2017 in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. “There is no other digital printing technology as productive as inkjet, as it has already proven in such a short-time,” said Boer. “And there is no other digital printing technology as flexible or as upgradeable as inkjet.”
Investing in production inkjet technology is no longer a matter of “if,” but more a matter of “when.”
