The entries are all in, the judges are ready and on Monday the winners of In-Print 2024 will be selected at last. Nearly 400 entries were submitted this year, ranging in complexity from stationery to magazines and annual reports. Each one of them will be carefully inspected on Monday by a panel of five judges, who will assemble at In-plant Printing and Mailing Association (IPMA) headquarters, in Kearney, Missouri.
This year’s contest featured eight new categories, bringing the total up to 36. Six categories were open only to in-plants with 10 or fewer employees.
Once the winners from all 36 categories are picked on Monday, two Best of Show winners will be selected from all Gold-winning pieces: one for offset entries and one for non-offset. Those grand prize winners will be revealed at the IPMA 2024 conference in Des Moines, Iowa, in June.
The judges this year will be:
- Ben Fowler, Shelter Insurance
- Kristen Hampton, State of Michigan
- Christopher Donlon, Kohler Co.
- Mike Barnes, Hunter Manufacturing
- Theresa Hatcher (IPMA)
Also helping with judging when they are not photographing the winners will be Larry Clements (Redlands Community College, retired) and Nate Riggins (EMC Insurance). Bob Neubauer, editor of In-plant Impressions, will also be there to help the process go smoothly.
Watch In-plant Impressions’ Facebook page for live updates on Monday. The list of winners will be on our website in the weeks ahead. Here's what judging looked like last year:
Bob has served as editor of In-plant Impressions since October of 1994. Prior to that he served for three years as managing editor of Printing Impressions, a commercial printing publication.
