In-Print Contest Entries Rolling In
With two weeks to go until the deadline for In-Print 2016, entries are arriving. One of them is a well-done calendar printed by Messiah College Press that features the winners of a photo contest.
"I had heard about another in-plant organizing a photo contest when I attended IPMA in Orlando," explains Dwayne Magee, director of Messiah College Press and Postal Services. "So I got the idea to hold a contest for employees and students and use the photos to make calendars."
Almost 200 photos were submitted for the contest. The first place winner was featured on the calendar's cover. The in-plant used its Xerox 770 to print 100 calendars, which were coil bound by hand. Calendars were sold and a portion of the revenue went to Bethesda Mission, a homeless shelter in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
"It was a great project for us," says Magee. "We were able to connect our shop and our services to the work of the college on several levels and do something good for our community."
This is just one of hundreds of entries expected in the In-Print 2016 contest, sponsored by IPG and IPMA and open to all in-plants. Can your in-plant beat it?
Don't waste time wondering. Select samples of your best work right now and submit them. Don't let your lethargy deny your staff a chance to be rewarded for their hard work.
