As in-plants know very well, COVID took a big toll on printing in 2020, drastically reducing the number of marketing pieces and other colorful items printed by in-plants. As a result, the number of entries in the In-Print 2021 contest was way down from its usual level.
Nonetheless, all 214 entries will be examined by a team of judges today in Kearney, Mo., inside the headquarters of the In-plant Printing and Mailing Association. IPMA and In-plant Graphics are partners in the In-Print contest, the only printing contest exclusively for in-plants.
This year’s judges are all veterans of the contest, ensuring that judging goes smoothly:
- Chris Donlon, Kohler Co.
- Jeff McNeeley, University of Missouri-Columbia
- Ben Fowler, Shelter Insurance
- Larry Clements, Redlands Community College (retired)
- Theresa Hatcher, IPMA
With half the usual entries to inspect, judging should wrap up before 5:00 p.m. IPI and IPMA will provide highlights on Facebook and Twitter throughout the day.
