On Monday, the winners of the In-Print 2016 contest were selected at IPMA headquarters in Kearney, Mo. Five judges, all in-plant managers, spent a grueling 10 hours inspecting each of the 431 pieces submitted in the contest’s 28 categories. In the end, they awarded 72 Gold, Silver and Bronze awards to 28 different in-plants, including several that have not won in the past.
In a slight change of protocol this year, the offset Best of Show winner was picked immediately after the offset categories were judged. Then at the end of the day, the judges laid out all the Gold winners from the non-offset categories and picked that Best of Show winner. IPG Editor Bob Neubauer shot video of these winners being selected. This video will be shown during the June IPMA awards banquet in Denver to reveal the two Best of Show winners (offset and non-offset).
