In-Print 2012 Salutes In-plant Quality
With entries up this year, In-Print 2012 proved to be an exciting contest. In all, 79 winners were chosen from 37 different in-plants. These included some 20 winners that have never won an In-Print award in the past.
In-Print, the only national printing contest exclusively for in-plants, is sponsored by both IPG and the In-Plant Printing and Mailing Association (IPMA) to showcase the excellent printing produced by in-house printers. To judge the 450+ entries, we assembled a panel of five judges at IPMA headquarters in Kearney, Mo. They spent a full day examining the entries, awarding 35 Gold, 25 Silver, 18 Bronze and one Judges Recognition Award.
The two in-plants that won the most awards were the University of North Texas (10) and the University of Oklahoma (9). The University of Texas at Austin took home four awards, while the University of Delaware, Briggs & Stratton, the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS, Washington State University and Yale University all won three.
Prizes will be awarded on June 27 during a ceremony at the IPMA conference, in Kansas City, Mo., at which time the Best of Show winners in the offset and non-offset categories will also be revealed.
