In-plants to be Honored Monday Night

In a ceremony on Monday evening, in-plants around the country will be honored for their excellent printing and management practices during the In-plant Printing and Mailing Association (IPMA) conference in Costa Mesa, Calif. More than 80 awards will be presented to in-plants, including 79 Gold, Silver, Bronze and Judges Choice awards in the In-Print 2018 contest (co-sponsored by IPG and IPMA) and five winners of IPMA Awards.

Among the top In-Print 2018 winners are The University of Texas at Austin (8 awards), the World Bank Group and the University of Oklahoma (7 awards each). At the conference, an Attendees Choice winner will be selected out of all In-Print winners. Also, the winners of the two Best of Show awards, one for offset and one for non-offset, will be revealed.

The winners of the 2018 IPMA Awards will also be honored on Monday. They are:

• Print Center of the Year—Bloomberg Ink
• Mail Center of the Year—State of Colorado
• Print Innovation Award—Pennsylvania State University
• Organizational Impact Award—Messiah College
• In-house Promotional Excellence Award—Connecticut College

Kodak, this week, congratulated seven of its in-plant customers for using its digital printing, platesetting and plate technologies to produce their winning entries.

• Excellus BlueCross Blue Shield won Gold and Bronze awards for work using a Kodak NexPress Press
• Michigan Farm Bureau won Gold and Silver awards for work using a Kodak NexPress Press and Kodak Digimaster Digital Product System
• University of Oklahoma won Gold, Silver and Bronze awards for work using a Kodak NexPress Press, Magnus Platesetter and Sonora Process Free Plates
• State of Colorado Central Services IDS won a Silver award for work using a Kodak NexPress Press
• Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center won a Judges Choice award for work using a Kodak NexPress Press
• University of Virginia won a Silver award for work using a Kodak NexPress Press
• The World Bank Group won Gold and Bronze awards for work using a Kodak NexPress Press
