On Tuesday in Gainesville, Florida, the In-plant Printing and Mailing Association (IPMA) held its sixth Road Show event of the year at the University of Florida. The event drew in-plant attendees from all around the Sunshine State. Attendees included Sarasota County Schools, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida, Lockheed Martin, Pinellas County Clerk of the Circuit Court, University of South Florida, University of Central Florida, and Seminole County Public Schools.
Ricoh led off the event with an inspiring presentation titled "Embrace Revolutionary Technology and Innovation in 2024.” Then SwagForce explained how in-plants can benefit from selling swag and apparel. This was followed by a roundtable discussion in which attendees discussed problems in their shops and sought solutions from their peers.
After lunch, managers had a chance to visit the booths set up by exhibitors and talk with them about the solutions they provide. Then attendees toured the University of Florida’s in-plant.
All year, IPMA has held Road Shows throughout the country. The final one will take place November 21 in Sacramento, California. Hosted by Sacramento State University, the event will kick off with IPI Editor Bob Neubauer offering highlights from PRINTING United Expo. Other speakers from Ricoh, edu Business Solutions and SwagForce will fill out the morning. After lunch and a vendor fair, attendees will get a tour of University Print & Mail to see the in-plant’s recently expanded wide-format printing operation.
