IPMA Conference Starts Sunday
It's finally here. On Sunday evening, the In-Plant Printing and Mailing Association's 2011 conference will begin at last. More than 130 in-plant managers from 35 different states are expected to make the trip to Charleston, S.C. for the event.
It will start with an evening reception on Sunday, a great networking opportunity. Then on Monday morning, keynote speaker Dr. Jairy C. Hunter Jr., president of Charleston Southern University, will start things off by speaking about "Effective Leadership Skills for Turbulent Times." After that, the vendor fair will open up, giving attendees a chance to see some of the latest equipment and software available for in-plants. Special drawings and raffles will be going on throughout the two-day exhibit.
On Monday night buses will carry everyone to Middleton Place, a national historic landmark, for a dinner outing, which includes a grand tour of the amazing gardens. Over the following two days, dozens of educational sessions will inform attendees on a number of topics, such as How to Justify Equipment, Variable Data, Achieving Excellence, In-plant Strategies, Total Cost of Ownership, How to Wipe Out MFD Hard Drive Security Dangers, Developing a Budgeted Hourly Rate, and more.
