Managers in Their 30s and 40s
Too often in this business, the established, long-time managers get all the credit. But we know there are plenty of younger managers out there too, having a solid impact of their in-plants' success.
To commend them for their hard work, In-Plant Graphics plans to profile 20 leading in-plant managers/supervisors under the age of 40 in our November issue. (Although we'll happily consider any manager in his/her early 40s.) You can help us out by sending in your nominations for worthy candidates.
Who makes for a top young turk? Good question. It's a subjective exercise. This person should be intelligent, ambitious, energetic, market savvy, boast great awareness and still be willing to learn.
The candidate can be a shop floor supervisor, assistant manager, plant manager, director-as long as the person oversees staff in the in-plant, he/she qualifies. (If you're too shy to ask their age, but are pretty sure they're in their early 40s, that's good enough for us.) And nominating yourself is absolutely fine. Don't be shy.
