In-plant Awareness Month is going strong, with in-plants around the country actively promoting their value by holding open houses, luncheons and other activities.
In Denver, the State of Colorado's in-plant is holding Employee Lunch Day today, with sandwiches, salads, drinks and deserts. There will be a gift card drawing for eight lucky staffers. The in-plant has also been holding Coffee & Donuts Tuesdays for customers, to get them into the shop.
Yesterday, Illinois Farm Bureau Printing Services held a well-attended open house in its Bloomington, Ill., facility. It was promoted via the company Web portal, on its closed circuit TV system and on social media.
Visitors enjoyed food, a shop tour and giveaways. Manager Curt Hastings got some of the in-plant's vendors to provide nice prizes. To win, visitors had to answer a few questions about the shop. The answers were in various places around the shop.
In-plant Awareness Month is an annual event created by the In-plant Printing and Mailing Association (IPMA). For more ideas on how to celebrate In-plant Awareness Month, visit the IPMA Web site.
