Howie Fenton, associate director of operations consulting at InfoTrends, will offer the opening keynote and final wrap up presentations at the Digital Printing in Government & Higher-Ed Conference, now just 13 days away. Organized by NAPCO Media, the conference will be chaired by IPG Editor Bob Neubauer and take place at the Government Publishing Office on May 14, in Washington, DC. More than 110 people, mostly in-plant managers, have registered for this event, which is on track to be one of the top in-plant networking events of the year.
Fenton’s keynote presentation, "Trends Impacting Government and Higher-ed In-plants," will discuss his observations and benchmarking analysis from over two dozen in-plant consulting assignments. He will also present the latest InfoTrends research on in-plant spending, growth, threats, and strategies to increase value. At the end of this one-day event, Fenton will present a wrap-up session called "Using Technology to Boost Productivity – and Stay in Business."
Also on the docket will be the state printers of Colorado and California: Mike Lincoln and Jerry Hill. They will highlight innovations at their large print operations, including production inkjet printing. In addition, Dave Leonard, manager of the World Bank Group’s Printing & Multimedia Services operation, will talk about how his in-plant used its Web-to-print system to acquire new business, increase efficiency and free staff up for other tasks.
The goal of this conference is to offer in-plant service providers innovative ideas and share best practices to help them adapt to the latest trends, benchmark their performance and reshape their operations with new strategies to add value.
