Canon U.S.A. has released a mobile print and scan solution that easily integrates Android devices with MEAP-enabled Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE and imageRUNNER multifunction products. The Canon Direct Print and Scan for Mobile V2.0 mobile client app for Android devices (available on Google Play and the Amazon Appstore) provides the ability to print from and scan to Android devices. Users can print directly from a website to a compatible MEAP-enabled Canon MFP. Digibinder Plus
Based on the success of its Sterling Digibinder, introduced in 2004, Spiel Associates has released the Sterling Digibinder Plus perfect binder. Like its predecessor, the machine perfect binds books, pads and book blocks for case binding up to 2.25˝ thick. It binds offset and coated stock, as well as tricky stocks that are wax based or oil infused. The Digibinder Plus adds a stand, a safety cover, vacuum waste removal and an extra-heavy-duty roughing and notching blade. The new Standard Horizon BQ-280PUR perfect binder is designed for short-run, high quality, single-clamp PUR binding. Loading and unloading are at the same location, allowing for single-person operation. Its automated, sensor-activated digital caliper system provides consistent measurement of book block thickness every time, eliminating operator discrepancy.
