Here are some of the latest saddle stitching, folding, perfect binding, and diecutting technologies on the market.
UD-310 Rotary Diecutter
Processing up to 4,000 sheets per hour, the Duplo USA UD-310 rotary diecutter utilizes a magnetic cylinder and interchangeable flexible dies to diecut, kiss cut, perforate, and three-knife crease. It can process paper, laminates, adhesives, and synthetic stocks at up to 400 gsm. It automatically separates the skeleton from the finished pieces. Suited for both long and shorter runs, the UD-310 is a productive and cost-efficient solution with minimal job setups and fast turnarounds.

The Folding Model of the Future
Unlike legacy folding machines, MBO’s new folding system concept takes custody of the product from prepress to finished pallet. New folder technology is capable of production speeds up to 17,000 full size B2 sheets per hour, matching the needs of the most demanding environments. When matched up with a pile or continuous feeder, and versatile MBO delivery, it is the most highly productive B2 sheet folder available. The T50 is also modular, meaning it is scalable for the future should your customer demands change. Further connection to Datamanager 4.0 for makeready preset automation, and RAS for remote access service, creates the folding model of the future: less labor, less training, faster makeready, higher uptime, and higher productivity. It also contributes to operator retention because it’s easy to operate.

Primera PRO Saddle Stitcher
One highlight of Muller Martini’s Primera PRO saddle stitcher is its redesigned, variable-thickness automated three-knife trimmer. Thanks to advanced motion control technology and servo drives, each of its format axes can be individually adjusted in case of any corrections — without compromise and without affecting other axes. No brushes are needed for product guidance, only belts. With the center cut, the left and right (product) sections can be adjusted independently of each other. Corrections can be saved on the Primera PRO’s central control panel. The independent decoupling of the gathering chain, stitcher, and ejector systems opens up new application possibilities such as the flexible stitching head position for format changes.
