High-speed Monochrome
The bizhub PRESS 2250P monochrome digital press from Konica Minolta combines two bizhub PRESS 1250P engines. The press uses LED imaging and Simitri HD toner, allowing for true 1,200x1,200-dpi print resolution. Designed for long-run digital printing, the 2250P can reach speeds of 250 duplex impressions per minute. The 2250P also provides accurate registration and can print on a variety of substrates and weights, with multiple inline finishing options. Epson America’s new SureColor T-Series of large-format color printers is available in single and dual roll models and features the Epson PrecisionCore TFP print head and Epson UltraChrome XD pigment ink. The T-Series can provide resolutions of up to 2,880x1,440 dpi, and can create a presentation quality D-size plot in 25 seconds. The single-roll printers utilize a horizontal catch basket, while the dual-roll printers have a high-capacity catch basket. The new C711DW digital color label printer and HS711DLF digital label finisher from OKI Data Americas incorporate digital die cutting and film lamination, resulting in a complete digital label production system. The C711DW uses OKI LED printing technology and OKI label management software from HYBRID Software. The C711DW can print up to 25 feet per minute in continuous-feed mode. The new new iCREASE series of paper creasers from MBM Corp. consists of the PRO, EXCEL and AIR models, each featuring touch-screen programming for fast setup and operation, along with a rotary-actuated die crease system that creases without cracking. The iCREASE PRO can reach speeds of 2,000 sheets per hour and the iCREASE AIR can reach 5,500 sph. Each model can process paper weights between 16 and 120 lbs. When a card of cut lengths of wire is placed into the feed tray it will automatically feed one piece of wire at a time for hanging. Envelope Finisher
A new in-line full-color inkjet print-to-mail solution from RISO combines a RISO ComColor 9150 or 7150 printer with a new Wrapping Envelope Finisher. The solution automatically personalizes documents and envelopes, then addresses, folds and assembles a sealed mail piece. First showcased last fall at PRINT13, the new solution can complete 2,200 pieces (single page insert) of mail per hour. Up to five tri-folded letter-sized or three quad-folded legal-sized pages can be wrapped and sealed in one pass.
