Here are some of the latest diecutting, saddle stitching, and double-loop wire binding products for the in-plant market.
Standard Horizon RD-N4055
The Standard Horizon RD-N4055 diecutting system, an updated version of the RD-4055, combines a high-capacity feeder, a single- or dual-magnetic cylinder diecutter, a new separator, and an optional card stacker for efficient production. The system can diecut, kiss cut, emboss/deboss, crease/score, perforate, slit, hole punch, and round corners in a single pass or in multiple combinations for a range of applications including business cards, invitations, labels, door hangers, and light packaging. The RD-N4055 can reportedly increase productivity by 20% compared to previous RD models and supports sheet sizes up to 21.65x15.74˝ and as small as 3.15x1.969˝.

Sterling Wiremaster Pro PB
Spiel Associates’ Sterling Wiremaster Pro PB is a fully automatic punch and double-loop wire binder that punches and binds at a pace of up to 1,800 books per hour. It punches and collects each book prior to transport, avoiding the tangling of sheets. The operator drops a book on the conveyor, then the Wiremaster Pro PB punches the book and transports it to the cover feeders, where pre-punched covers are fed. It cuts and inserts the wire, closes the wire, and delivers the finished book onto a conveyor. An automatic cover flipper is included.
Muller Martini Prinova
The new 9,000 cycle Muller Martini Prinova saddle stitcher has a feeding station that can accommodate up to 14 individual, tiltable feeders, each equipped with servo drives. The result is quick changeovers as feeders can be run by a single operator. The Prinova has a new user interface with context-based displays and an intuitive operating concept. All settings can be adjusted centrally using the machine’s large touchscreen. The Asir Pro camera system developed by Muller Martini recognizes and compares sections using a 1D/2D code and/or by comparing the images, eliminating errors.
