Graphco and Print & Finishing Solutions, two of the largest graphic arts providers in North America, will participate jointly as sponsors at the 57th Association of College and University Printers (ACUP+) annual conference to be held in Lincoln, Nebraska. This event, which brings together the top leaders in higher education in-plant printing and mailing management, will be held on April 2-6, 2023.
“We look forward to discussing hybrid production environments comprising inkjet and traditional offset printing right through to finishing with higher education in-plants,” states Kian Hemmen, Sales Director of RMGT, Print & Finishing Solutions. “Sheetfed-offset printing presses from RMGT and industrial continuous-feed inkjet presses from Kodak are prime examples of print manufacturing driven by a Prinergy workflow.”
“The Prinergy workflow also drives automated finishing from Horizon (full binding and stitching), Foliant (laminating and variable data foiling) and digital diecutting,” says Chris Manley, President of Graphco. “Smaller in-plants may benefit from turnkey solutions from Kodak that include Prinergy Evo and Achieve CTP (computer-to-plate) systems.”
Higher education in-plants face the same challenges as commercial printers in North America with tight labor markets. With the need for in-plants to produce print at the highest speed and as few touches as possible digital workflows tie together prepress, digital and offset printing, and finishing. Prinergy Evo provides a lower-cost solution for printers who do not require an automated, database-driven workflow. Its software options include advanced preflighting, normalization of PDF files, color management, trapping and high-resolution output to proof or plate.
Graphco and Print & Finishing Solutions take great pride in servicing higher education in-plant printers for a combined 70 years and have been supporting the ACUP event for the past five years. Together, they provide sales and service for offset, digital and print finishing solutions from RMGT, Kodak, Horizon, and Foliant, among many others.
The 2023 ACUP+ Conference features three days of educational sessions, robust roundtable discussions and includes an interactive vendor exhibit hall. For more information on the event, including registration information, visit https://www.acup-edu.org/2023conference
