Graph Expo: What's in it for In-plants?
In-plant managers will have plenty to choose from when Graph Expo 16 welcomes show visitors to the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., September 25-28.
"In-plant printers are one of the most important segments of the graphic communications industry," says Graphic Arts Show Company (GASC) President Thayer Long. "That is why we have focused our efforts, offerings and programming to ensure they will have access to all of the resources and answers they will need-the technology, education and business networking opportunities to reach their business goals for the future."
Among this year's show floor highlights will be The In-Plant Place, a networking hub exclusively for in-plant pros from every industry segment to come meet, learn, share and more. Other floor specialty sections and features will include: Deliver—The Mailing and Fulfillment Center, The Inkjet Candy Store, The House That Print Built, Materials Matter, The Printerverse and Education Main Street.
Graph Expo 16 also has assembled a solid new lineup of seminar sessions specifically tailored for this key market industry:
- "Printing By The Numbers: Lean/Six Sigma Methodology & Metrics" will be held Sunday, September 25 at 1:30 p.m.
- There will be three sessions on Monday, September 26: "In-plant Panel: Conquering the Top 8 In-plant Challenges (10:00 a.m.), "How to Increase Your In-plant's Performance and Value" (1:30 p.m.), and "Supercharge Your Old Press: How to Gain Less Make Ready and More Quality/Speed" (3:30 p.m.).

A separate session will feature a presentation by Dr. Joe Webb of the association's newly released study, "The State of the In-Plant Industry: Challenges, Opportunities and Outlook."
