RESTON, Va. and PHILADELPHIA — January 30, 2017 — The Graphic Arts Show Company (GASC) has teamed with NAPCO Media/Printing Impressions and In-plant Graphics to produce the official cross-media Show Daily, special pre-show supplements, and a series of pre-show e-newsletters for this year’s PRINT 17 exhibition and conference, coming Sept. 10-14, 2017, to McCormick Place South in Chicago.
The Official Show Daily will be produced in four distinct formats. Print editions will be distributed at hotels within the show block, as well as onsite each day of the exhibition. The Show Daily in digital format will be available as both a digital "flip-book" edition, and as a microsite on PIworld.com. Onsite e-newsletters will provide content from the printed Show Daily edition plus videos and late-breaking news to a combined audience of over 100,000 attendees, past attendees, and opt-in email subscribers. The digital Show Daily will also be available on the PRINT 17 website (Print2017.com) and PIworld.com.
The pre-show previews will consist of seven "Countdown to the Show" e-newsletters broadcast to more than 50,000 pre-registered and prospective PRINT 17 attendees, and over 70,000 opt-in subscribers to Printing Impressions, In-plant Graphics and packagePRINTING e-newsletters in the weeks leading up to the show. The agreement also provides for “official” pre-show supplements in Printing Impressions, In-plant Graphics and packagePRINTING. The Printing Impressions supplement will also include the Official New Product Reference Guide.
Additionally, the agreement also provides for GASC and NAPCO Media to co-produce the official PRINT 17 Preview Webcast, “New Technologies from the PRINT 17 MUST SEE ’EMS,” on Aug. 22, 2017, at 1 p.m. EDT to be hosted by MUST SEE ’EMS program coordinator Hal Hinderliter. The program will feature a rundown of some of the most compelling new technologies and products attendees will discover across this year’s exciting exhibition floor.
“We are excited about our partnership with NAPCO Media for 2017,” says GASC President Thayer Long. “This will allow our team to leverage NAPCO’s knowledge of the industry, access their team of subject matter experts, and provide new opportunities to invite and attract industry attendees to join us for a rich and unique user experience in Chicago for PRINT 17.”
“It’s been a pleasure working with Thayer and the team at GASC to develop a new vision for PRINT 17 and beyond,” says Mark J. Subers, president/CRO – Printing, Packaging, and Publishing, NAPCO Media. “The show has played such an integral role in the education of the industry. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to collaborate with GASC on this event and inform our various markets of the opportunities it provides to them.”
