Once again, In-plant Impressions will host two In-plant Forums during PRINTING United Expo. These two gatherings are designed to bring in-plant managers together during the show, to network and learn about new opportunities while enjoying free breakfast and lunch.
Sponsored by Canon Solutions America and Ricoh, and in partnership with the In-plant Printing and Mailing Association (IPMA), the two forums will take place on the first and second days of the three-day Expo. They are open only to in-plants. (Expo registration is required. Click here for free registration courtesy of IPMA.)
To attend, managers must sign up separately for each forum (links below), and space is limited. They will take place in room B208 in the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. Here's a recap of one of the well-attended 2022 In-plant Forums.
This is what we have in store for in-plants:
Wednesday Oct. 18. 12:00 - 1:30 p.m. (Luncheon)
Sponsored by Ricoh.
Reaching the Pinnacle of In-plant Success
Come and be inspired by the remarkable story of one in-plant’s expansion from a small shop with slow turnaround times to an award-winning in-plant that continues to push the limits. Join your in-plant peers for a free networking luncheon, and hear how CHRISTUS Health Print Services reexamined its mission, thought big, and persuaded its parent organization to support a major expansion. Today the in-plant is entrusted with brand management for the health system and takes on ever-more-complicated projects, including braille signage, intelligent mail, and acrylic name plates. It is respected for its strong support of the organization’s mission and for the cost savings it brings — money that can be better used to help patients. Learn how your in-plant can capitalize on these opportunities and achieve similar success through a fully Integrated Resource Center. Register here.
Thursday Oct. 19. 7:30 - 9:00 a.m. (Breakfast)
Sponsored by Canon Solutions America.
Innovative Applications to Expand Your In-plant's Services
Join the in-plant community for a free breakfast discussion in which IPI Editor Bob Neubauer and a panel of in-plant managers will show examples of new print applications being produced using the latest digital production and wide-format technologies. The forum will provide in-plant managers with plenty of networking time before the Expo opens for the day, and an opportunity to learn from peers, while getting ideas for new types of work their shops can produce. This session will inspire managers to seek new ways to add value and strengthen their in-plants. Register here.
Both events are free to in-plants. The In-plant Forums are not the only events PRINTING United Expo has in store for in-plants, however. IPI’s partner on the forums, IPMA, will host a lunch session on Thursday Oct. 19, also in room B202. All in-plants are invited, IPMA members and non-members. Register here. And in-plant managers can also get together at the close of the show each day for a happy hour in the In-plant Community Hub.
Bob has served as editor of In-plant Impressions since October of 1994. Prior to that he served for three years as managing editor of Printing Impressions, a commercial printing publication. Mr. Neubauer is very active in the U.S. in-plant industry. He attends all the major in-plant conferences and has visited more than 180 in-plant operations around the world. He has given presentations to numerous in-plant groups in the U.S., Canada and Australia, including the Association of College and University Printers and the In-plant Printing and Mailing Association. He also coordinates the annual In-Print contest, co-sponsored by IPMA and In-plant Impressions.
