Just over a month from today, In-plant Graphics will host a free one-day conference for in-plants in government and higher-education. Taking place at the Government Publishing Office's Washington, DC, headquarters, the inaugural Digital Printing in Government and Higher-Ed Conference will offer in-plants innovative ideas and share best practices to help them reshape their operations to thrive in these changing times.
IPG has arranged a stellar lineup of speakers and topics:
- Consultant Howie Fenton, of InfoTrends, will share best practices gleaned from his in-plant visits and InfoTrends studies, and discuss trends including spending, growth markets, new technologies and strategies to increase value.
- Colorado State Printer Mike Lincoln will highlight the innovations he has implemented at his operation, which has just become the first government in-plant to add an inkjet production press. He will be joined by California State Printer Jerry Hill, who will detail recent developments at his in-plant.
- Dave Leonard, of the World Bank Group’s Printing & Multimedia Services operation, will discuss how his in-plant uses Web-to-print to acquire new business, increase efficiency and free up staff.
- GPO’s Sandra MacAfee will describe GPO’s procurement practices, which analyze quality, expertise and past performance to ensure that taxpayers receive the best possible value.
- IPG Editor Bob Neubauer will present the latest research on government and higher-ed in-plants to highlight key trends and best practices.
