For a decade experts have been discussing the coming crisis in staffing. Unfortunately, writes Consultant Howie Fenton in a new blog, those predictions have already come true.
Finding and hiring good staff was one of the top two challenges cited in a recent In-plant Printing and Mailing Association member survey. These labor shortages are compelling the hiring of less skilled and less productive personnel, Fenton writes, resulting in workflow inefficiencies.
In his blog on the Rochester Software Associates website, Fenton reveals four ways leading in-plants prepare to meet staffing shortages. "In-plants need strategies to avoid hiring unskilled staff that cause productivity declines, increased costs, complaints, and administrative scrutiny," he writes. Read the full blog here.
