Four In-plants Awarded for Marketing Efforts
An in-plant marketing contest hosted by Rochester Software Associates (RSA) has yielded four winners. The contest was created by RSA to showcase in-plants' marketing efforts. Winning entries, along with other top ideas and successes, will be featured in a “Marketing Your In-plant Kit” that RSA is making available upon request. Designed as a learning tool for other in-plant print centers, the marketing kit is part of a multi-channel campaign by RSA.
The four winning in-plants were awarded in five different categories: launch, ongoing, most creative, most successful marketing and one overall winner. The winners are:
- Frisco ISD won both the most creative award and was named overall winner. The Frisco, Texas-based in-plant received the award for its creative marketing and overall approach for launching RSA's WebCRD Web-to-print tool at the school district.
- Tacoma Public Schools earned the launch marketing award for the Tacoma, Wash., in-plant's comprehensive user help center with numerous PDF and video tutorials and for the shop's training and communications plan.
- Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, in Rochester, N.Y., (also the subject of a March IPG story) claimed the ongoing marketing award for the results of its complete re-branding tied to a website redesign, WebCRD upgrade and new equipment installation.
- The most successful marketing award was presented to Mobile County Public Schools Printing Services. This Mobile, Ala., print center increased users 83 percent, centralized 75 percent of office volume and has achieved 100 percent online submission.
Winners were recently notified, and each received a plaque and lunch for the entire shop. The overall winner also received a one-year membership in the In-plant Printing and Mailing Association (IPMA). Short stories about each winner’s efforts will soon appear on the RSA website.
