On Tuesday morning this week, Gabriel (Gaby) Matsliach, CEO of ePS, welcomed hundreds of industry professionals to the Connect 2023 user conference in Las Vegas. It was the first time the conference was hosted by eProductivity Software (ePS) after being presented for 22 years by EFI.
Matsliach lauded attendees, noting that they, along with ePS, “enable the creation of innovative communications and consumer experiences that drive a more engaging, colorful and sustainable world.”
While acknowledging the challenges of the past three years, he insisted that “our passion is always about unlocking business value. This is our commitment to you in years to come.”
Attendees of Connect 2023 -- including in-plant managers from Bank of America, The World Bank Group, and the U.S. Government Publishing Office -- had myriad breakout sessions to choose from, each delving into ePS systems like Enterprise Commercial Print (e.g., Monarch ERP), the MarketDirect Platform, the Midmarket Print Suite (e.g. Pace), and Packaging offerings like Radius ERP. New features of products like iQuote and PrintFlow were detailed, in particular the move to browser-based technology. The Pogo app was also unveiled, which lets field service installers capture signatures and photos as proof of delivery.
An afternoon keynote Q&A featured Ford Bowers, CEO of PRINTING United Alliance, fielding questions from ePS Executive Chairman Mark Olin about the evolution of the Alliance and the state of the print industry. With the convergence trend driving commercial, packaging, and wide-format printers to diversify their services, Bowers encouraged these companies to consult with clients about the services they are buying elsewhere before deciding which new products to begin offering.
“It would … be well worth the investment of their time to figure out if diversification makes sense for them,” he said.
The conference continues today. Watch for our continued coverage.
