First In-plant Regional Meeting Next Week

After a successful run last year, the In-plant Printing and Mailing Association is hosting another round of fall regional meetings, starting with a gathering next Friday, September 5, in Nashville. Open to all in-plants, not just IPMA members, the meetings will take place in 13 locations around the country to give in-plants the opportunity to meet face to face, network and listen to informative presentations. They can also enjoy lunch and an in-plant tour.

Next Friday, from 10-2, Schneider Electric will open its National Drawing Center to visiting in-plants. State Printer Tammy Golden will be on hand to greet attendees. In-plants will learn how workflow automation can help them be more productive. Ben Parker from Rochester Software Associates (the meeting's sponsor) will discuss this topic, and then Kris Tanner, of Schneider Electric, will share a real-life story about Schneider's successful workflow improvement implementation. This will be followed by lunch, a roundtable discussion, an in-plant tour and door prizes.

After the Nashville kick-off, the in-plant regional meetings will take place throughout September and October, in locations stretching from Oregon to Pennsylvania. The half-day educational outings give in-plants a rare opportunity to meet others in their area, share stories and learn from each other. The meetings are being sponsored by Xerox, Konica Minolta, Ricoh, Boise and RSA. IPMA members can attend the meetings for free. The $25 fee for non-members will be compensated back to those who decide to join.
