PLANO, Texas —July 6, 2016 — FedEx Office, a world-class commercial print provider, has enhanced its copier and printer fleets with the rollout of more than 1,800 Canon imagePRESS C700 color digital presses and over 1,400 HP DesignJet T3500 wide-format printers to FedEx Office stores. The new color devices offer an expanded portfolio of printing solutions designed for speed and flexibility, providing customers with sharp color quality and enhanced printing capabilities. These new wide-format printers and digital presses allow customers to produce full color wide-format engineering and construction documents. The rollout marks the latest move by FedEx Office to leverage its industry-leading technology to provide a professional printing experience for its small and large business and consumer customers.
According to a recent survey(1), 99% of U.S. marketing executives in the past 12 months have used printed marketing materials including direct mail, brochures and signs, illustrating that, regardless of industry, print continues to be a critical resource for small and large businesses. The new Canon color digital presses deliver robust speeds while maintaining outstanding quality output. The new HP wide-format printers provide efficient and affordable full-color prints in a category dominated by older LED model black-and-white printers.
"Our customers rely on us to provide the tools and technology they need to be successful and differentiate themselves from their competitors," says Kim Dixon, executive VP and COO, FedEx Office. "The early feedback from our customers has been fantastic. They are thrilled with the vibrancy and quality of their color prints and large-format documents.”
The color copiers and printers are some of many new enhancements coming to FedEx Office stores this year. To help better serve customers, FedEx Office will be offering upgraded equipment throughout its network, including new self-service machines, full-service black and white copiers, and high-speed color production printers in its closed-door manufacturing plants.
The convenient network of digitally-connected FedEx Office retail locations, centralized production centers and around-the-clock online services help small and large businesses improve their productivity and maintain total control of their print supply chain. FedEx Office is seamlessly linked to the FedEx global shipping network, providing the speed and reliability of the FedEx brand to ensure on-time delivery of all printed materials.
