The PRINTING United Expo — September 10-12 in Las Vegas — is just around the corner, and attendees are eagerly preparing for days filled with learning, networking, and inspiration. As we approach the Expo, we're excited to present a series of Q&A interviews with attendees. They'll share their reasons for attending the PRINTING United Expo, the knowledge they hope to gain, and what they're most looking forward to at the event.
We recently talked with Pradeep Mishra, director of Printing Services at Arkansas State University, to learn about his Expo plans.
What made you want to attend this year's Expo?
Location, networking, and curiosity to find out the latest about our industry. It provides me the information about latest technologies available to improve the efficiency and productivity of our printing services.
What products or services are you most looking forward to seeing?
Inkjet technology, post-press equipment matching with digital printing, and also wide-format printing.
Why is attending the Expo better than going to a vendor’s demo center to see equipment?
The Expo provides a wider scope of knowledge and options than a vendor demo center. At the Expo, sometimes you see certain items that you are not thinking of, that can be useful for your workflow.
Is networking with industry peers an important reason for attending the Expo?
Networking with industry peers is a very important part for me. You can get real feedback or advice from them about a particular equipment or brand. Also, you get to know the best practices of our field.
How do you hope attending will impact your business/career moving forward?
It certainly helps to expand your knowledge spectrum about the industry, which in turn can impact your business/career moving forward. The Expo is a great source of information.
