The honors keep coming for Deer Valley Unified School District (DVUSD) Graphic Communications. After winning the 2017 Innovation Award from the In-plant Printing and Mailing Association (IPMA), the Phoenix-based in-plant was again honored for this achievement at a recent DVUSD board meeting.
The entire staff came to the meeting to be recognized by the governing board, the retiring superintendent and the incoming superintendent. In addition, several district office directors were present, as were family and friends of Graphic Communications team members. Each member of the department received a service pin, and the in-plant was presented with a certificate of achievement.
"As a department within a school district is was such an honor to be recognized," noted Manager Martin James. "We strive to show just what a positive impact our in-plant can have within our district and beyond, and this honor is proof we can make a difference for our students and staff."
The in-plant received IPMA's Innovation Award for developing an online digital curriculum solution that allows every teacher at all 38 campuses to order math, reading and science curriculum. Read more about the impact this had on the district here.
