A recent In-plant Graphics post about the data disparity between IPG in-plant surveys and those done by other organizations caught the attention of Howie Fenton, vice president of consulting at IMG. No stranger to in-plant research, Fenton delved into the reasons behind some of these inconsistencies in a new blog post on Rochester Software Associates' website.
Wording of the questions in the original survey, he wrote, is one possible reason that survey results could differ.
"If one survey asked, 'Are you using online ordering / job submission?' and the other asked 'Are you using a Web to print portal?' you could get much different results," he wrote.
