Contiweb, a specialist manufacturer of web-handling equipment and provider of integrated technical solutions for web offset printing, web inkjet printing and packaging production, announced that it will be attending Hunkeler InnovationDays from February 27th to March 2nd, in Lucerne, Switzerland - Hall 1, Booth 204+205. Contiweb will have a Digital Fluid Applicator (DFA) for remoistening at its booth.
This year’s Hunkeler InnovationDays focuses on ‘Next Level Automation’, a topic that is central to Contiweb’s product strategy and development programs. With its roots in heat-set web offset Contiweb understands the importance of interconnected equipment that shares process information for high level automation. Nowadays, the same is true for web inkjet printing, with successful automation being achieved through wider process improvement.
An important aspect of today's digital web inkjet market is that many printers are under increasing pressure to shorten delivery times and therefore choose to finish their printed products inline. This only works if the printed products run well through the finishing equipment and drying printed paper at high temperatures can spoil this efficient process with paper jams occurring due to wavy paper, owing to high drying temperatures. The Contiweb Digital Fluid Applicator will have a central role in Contiweb’s presence at the Hunkeler InnovationDays and the team will be able to explain to visitors how to avoid these issues and increasingly automate processes. For a live demonstration at the show, the DFA will be in action in hall 2 at the Screen booth, on a Truepress Jet520HD+ production line.
Alongside the DFA, Contiweb will focus on its Variable Coater (VC) for post-coating at Hunkeler Innovation Days. The VC enables printers to vary the coating layer thickness and web width without changing components like the rollers and the sleeves., Contiweb products are designed to help users maximise the productivity and efficiency of their presslines and preserve utmost product quality for a great user experience.
“Digital printing has entered the maturity phase as evidenced by the show’s tagline – ‘Next Level Automation’,” states Rob Bosman, Contiweb Sales Director (who will be in attendance during the show). “This means both manufacturers of digital web inkjet printing equipment and the printing companies themselves will need to continuously upgrade the performance of their presses if they want to meet the evolving expectations of their customers. And to do that, they will be looking for robust, technically advanced auxiliary equipment that helps them to automate processes, backed by expert service and support. Our team will provide updates at the booth and visitors can learn all about our products and services.
“This is an excellent opportunity for visitors to explore Contiweb’s digital solutions and see how margins can be positively impacted with the increases in uptime that can be achieved, or how the user experience can be enhanced with fantastic quality products,” Bosman continues. “We are moving in the right direction as a company and we want to share all our exciting news from the past year such as customer success stories and important agreements with important players in the market.”
